An Overview of the Week to Date

Here are some of the different activities currently planned for the week, but we are adding more and if you would like to suggest something please contact us

Activities Fair

A chance to find out about the wide range of different groups and activities that we can join in with

Wellbeing Sunday

Many village Churches will be thinking about spiritual wellbeing

Games Nights

Join in with a range of games in your local pub

Wellbeing Tea

Join is with a wellbeing tea which will be great opportunity to get together for all ages up to 100+

Wednesday 8th May

Local Green Spaces Trail

Get outside and explore the green spaces in the villages by joining in with this trail

Saturday 11th May

Family dance fun

A dance activity for all the family

“Away From Her” centres on a couple whose marriage is tested when the wife begins to develop Alzheimer’s. Will be followed by a short discussion of the issues raised

The Nature of Wellbeing

There are lots of different dimensions to wellbeing and this week will feature lots of activities that will help us to improve different aspects of our wellbeing.

Our wellbeing is greatly influenced by the way we connect socially. Loneliness is one of the great problems of our age and we will have lots of opportunities to make meaningful connections with others in our Community.


Probably the best understood of the different aspects of wellbeing. Being as fit as possible, within any physical constraints, will make a difference to our overall wellbeing.


There are lots of ways of improving our mental wellbeing, which interacts with the social, physical and spiritual. We are concentrating on particular activities centred on mindfulness and also nutrition.


Helping to understand our place in the universe and our relationship with the divine.

Joining In

One of the best ways of improving our wellbeing is to join in with activities in our community. This builds our sense of connection with others and can be great fun. We are lucky to live in a community with a huge range of different things that we can get involved in. So why not drop in to the Activities Fair on Saturday 4th May 10:30am-1:00pm in the Saint Andrew’s Centre
